In addition to regular general adult yoga classes I teach group and private yoga classes for women during pregnancy. These sessions incorporate yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and much needed relaxation techniques for women from 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Yoga is a safe, simple and natural method of preparing the body and mind for labour and birth. A regular yoga practice during pregnancy can enhance this transitional phase; empowering the mother to consciously engage in her pregnancy and birthing options whilst strengthening the body and calming the mind. The physical asana practice is specifically suited to pregnancy throughout the second and third trimesters, helping to ease the typical discomforts that are experienced. The vinyasa flow style of my Yoga for Pregnancy sessions synchronise the yoga postures with the breath, whilst pranayama practice explores and encourages an awareness of the breath, on and off the yoga mat.
My comforting style provides a sense of relaxation and calm. The weekly Yoga for Pregnancy sessions cultivate a practice that is embedded in self-care, empowering women to practice with self-love, compassion and acceptance of the stages and changes of pregnancy and beyond, whilst building the connection between mother and baby.
No previous experience of yoga is necessary to enjoy the benefits of a practice during pregnancy.

Revive in Pregnancy
A half day Pregnancy Yoga, Hypnobirthing and Relaxation Retreat celebrating pregnancy and birth.
Sunday 13th October, 9:30am-1pm
Venue: Full Circle Yoga, Weddington, CV10 0EJ
Alongside my holistic therapist colleague, Nicola at Life Spaces Bump to Baby I am delighted to bring you a half day retreat purely for pregnancy. Our focus throughout the morning will be to explore the journey of pregnancy and birth through the empowering mediums of yoga, meditation and hypnobirthing. We will begin the morning with a relaxing pregnancy relaxation, before building into a gentle pregnancy yoga flow. Stopping to enjoy some delicious treats before we lead into the remaining sessions; an introduction to hypnobirthing and holistic approaches to pregnancy and birth, before ending our time together with some pranayama (breathwork). We will leave feeling revitalised, aware of the options available to support our pregnancy and birthing journeys and comfort in the sense of community and connection.
