During this time that we are unable to physically practice together, in our usual spaces and with community on the mats around us, I am recording some varied sessions with the hope that your practice can continue to support you.
As always, if you have any queries or questions, or have a suggestion for an online session please do contact me.
Just Being – A Vinyasa Flow
A 55 minute vinyasa flow session built upon the foundations of a sequence which explores balance and focus, the qualities we invite in as we cultivate a real sense of presence, of 'just being.' We start by bringing our awareness close, inviting us to welcome in an intention for practice before guiding us through a movement practice which begins as one sequence and develops and expands through repetition and exploration. At the end of the session I kindly invite you to consider sound as an object for meditation as we settle into savasana. This practice is a recording of a session which I led outdoors for our community, during lockdown. You therefore hear the sounds of life around me and even catch a glimpse at Annie, my dog, as she pops up to make her online debut.
Cultivating Connection – A Vinyasa Flow
This 60 minute vinyasa flow session offers options for practice which cultivates sensations of connection. With its foundations in familiar vinyasa sequencing, this session invites you inwards to explore practice as an act of self care and grounding connection.
Finding your Flow – A Gentle Vinyasa
Within this 65 minute flowing session you are invited to bring a sense of exploration and mindful movement to your practice. Beginning with a settling mindfulness practice which cultivates qualities of softness and sensation, we then flow into a movement practice which repeatedly explores gentle transitions and ranges of movement within some familiar nourishing postures. We end in savasana holding space for ourselves, for our community, and celebrating the soft edges of connection.
Vinyasa Flow – Exploring Balance
This 60 minute pre-recorded vinyasa flow allows us to have fun with our practice, exploring balance, strength and some tricky transitions. We begin and end with grounding mindfulness practices, ensuring that we find ourselves in the present moment with our feet firmly on the ground. Expect some transitions requiring strength and focus, but have fun with exploring your edge, work with your own wobbles and cultivate presence and awareness to your day. Props such as a chair (or other suitable height furniture), book and blocks may come in very handy as you guide your body into the postures. Gather all of these prior to the session and enjoy exploring. Please be mindful of how you use this session and invite consideration and self care into your practice. For those returning to practice following the birth of a baby, of injury or surgery, please ensure that you have received the necessary medical review, support and permissions. This session is not designed for pregnancy or post-natal stages.
Vinyasa Flow – Cultivating Gratitude
With its foundation in vinyasa yoga, this 60 minute recorded class combines larger, strong and outwardly facing postures, interspersed with gentler, softer intrinsically focused heart opening poses. Commencing with a heart flame meditation, we them flow into physical asana movements before bringing ourselves back to lying on the mat for a beautiful gratitude practice. Use all the props you like to find modifications throughout the session, prior to commencing the class gather blankets, cushions, books or blocks to support and nourish your practice. You may wish to practice utilising a wall or chair and enjoy the sequence as a gentle vinyasa flow class too. Please be mindful of how you use this session and invite consideration and self care into your practice. For those returning to practice following the birth of a baby, of injury or surgery, please ensure that you have received the necessary medical review, support and permissions. This session is not designed for pregnancy or post-natal stages.
Gentle Yoga Flow
With its foundation in accessible yoga, this 40 minute gentle flow offers a sequence which promotes the use of props as a means to explore postures in a gentler way. Offering modifications to some familiar poses by using a chair or a wall, this flow can be enjoyed by those looking for an easeful flow, whether due to preference or limitations with mobility, as well as during the pre and post natal stages. You may wish to practice without a wall or chair and enjoy the sequence as a gentle vinyasa flow class. Please be mindful of how you use this session and invite consideration and self care into your practice. For those in the post natal period please ensure that you have received the necessary post natal review and support.
